Our Featured Junior Rider of the Month is Keira Robar!

Keira began riding two years ago at another stable. After spending a number of years on the waitlist, Keira was so excited she was finally able to join Lancers in September 2022. Keiras' favorite horse right now is Oliver, she says he likes hugs, has a fun personality, and makes her feel confident and safe when she rides him. 

One of Keira’s favorite memories of Lancers this year was when the Junior Executive planned a trip to Willowbank Farm to go apple-picking. Lancer Alumni Elizabeth Johnson took them on a tour of her stables and showed them different Lancer artifacts. She enjoyed learning about Lancers, and this was when she said she started to develop a bond with many of her friends now. 

“Lancers has given me a place where I am always with people I can relate to. Lancers has shown me that hard work leads to success and all the amazing things horses can bring into your life.”   Keira has been a delight to have at the barn. She is a friend to everyone, caring for the horses and humans alike at Lancers. Keira is keen to continue developing her skills and will make a wonderful role model as she grows at Lancers.
