How many horses live at Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers?

Do you do trail rides?
No. As we are in the middle of downtown Halifax we are unable to offer trail rides.
What are the programs at Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers?
Junior members (ages 8 to 18) ride twice a week for 1 hour at set days and times, from September to July. The current cost is $200CDN per month. Adults ride either one or twice per week. The current cost is $115CDN per month (1x per week) or $200CDN per month (2x per week).
Are your instructors/coaches certified?
Yes. All instructors have either their English instructor certification, or coaching level I. Jill has her coaching level II
Do you have summer camps?
Yes, we usually offer half day, 2 week camps as well as 1 week camps that are 1 1/2 hours per day during July and the first two weeks of August.
Do the horses get turned out?
Yes. The horses are turned out for the morning during the week and all day on Sunday.
Do students go to horse shows?
Yes. The Junior members of Lancers compete on the provincial hunter circuit and Equine Canada (formerly the Canadian Equestrian Federation) shows in Nova Scotia. In the past, we have also had members compete in Quebec and at the Royal Winter Fair. Click here to see the latest contest information and results.
What does Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers teach?
Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers is a hunter/jumper/equitation barn, so we do both flat work and jumping.
How old do you have to be to ride at Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers?
We start riders at 8 years of age.
What is the group size for lessons?
There are 8 people per group
